  • Your friends advise you live
  • You decide what they see
  • Everyone agrees from the start

How it works

Like your group chat, without the screenshots.

  1. Discover

Profiles of people near you. You choose what yours shows: your first name, your photos, a few details.

  2. Match

When you like each other, a private chat opens. You see how many people liked you, never who.

  3. Bring in your friends

Send them a link. They read the chat and advise you in a thread just for you. They never write to your match.

With your friends

One swipe, and your friends are right there.

Swipe left: your chat turns grey and your friends’ comments appear right where they wrote them. Swipe right, and you’re back in your conversation. As if they were on the sofa next to you.

  • They advise, you decide.Your friends can never write to your match. The last word is always yours.
  • Your thread, just between you. What you tell your friends, your match never sees.
  • You stay in charge.Hide a message from your friends or take back their access, whenever you like.

Consent and privacy

Nothing behind anyone’s back.

We all ask our friends already, with screenshots sent behind his back. Here it happens in the open, and everyone has agreed.

What he sees

A line at the top of the chat tells him how many of your friends are reading. Never their names, and never your advice thread.

  • Your match agrees

Before anyone reads. Men accept it once, when they sign up; between women, it’s asked in each chat.

  • You’re the one who invites

In a chat between a woman and a man, only the woman can invite friends. His friends never read you.

  • You choose what is shared

Hide a message and your friends won’t see it. Your match isn’t told.

  • Anyone can step back

You, your friends or your match: everyone can stop whenever they want.

  • Your profile, your choices

You choose your first name, your photos and your details. Your e-mail, your date of birth and your exact location are never shown.

  • Your privacy comes first

We only ask for what the app needs, and you can download your data or delete your account whenever you want.

For friends

Your friend wants your opinion?

No need to be single: you can join Confidate just to help her.

What you can do

  • Read her chat, except what she keeps to herself
  • Advise her in your private thread
  • Answer in one tap: “Good sign”, “Ask a question back”
  • Stop helping whenever you want

What you can’t do

  • Write to her match
  • See her other chats
  • Read the messages she hid

Questions

What you’re probably wondering.

Does my match know my friends are reading?

Yes, always. They agree before anyone reads, and they see how many friends read, never which ones.

Can his friends read my messages?

No. In a chat between a woman and a man, only the woman can invite friends. Between men, both can.

Can my friends write to my match?

No, never. They advise you in your private thread; only you write to your match.

Can I keep some messages to myself?

Yes. Press and hold a message to hide it from your friends, or show it to them again.

Does my friend need a dating profile to help me?

No. She can join Confidate just to help you, with only her first name.

What if I change my mind?

You can take back your friends’ access whenever you want. Your match can withdraw their agreement too, and your friends can stop helping.

And for men?

Here, women feel more at ease to answer. A man who writes with respect has nothing to fear, quite the opposite.

When will the app be available?

Soon on the App Store and Google Play. It will be for adults 18 and over only.

Stop deciding alone.

Confidate is coming soon to iPhone and Android. Join the beta and try it before everyone else.
